Position Overview Location: Remote (India) Schedule: Flexible shifts aligned to UK/Canada/US client needs Work Days: Monday to Saturday As an Accounts Executive, you will play a key role in supporting our international clients by handling day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end processes. You will work closely with mid-level and senior managers, contributing to the accuracy and completeness of financial records, and ensuring timely delivery of reports in line with CFO Incorporated’s high standards of quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities Record and process daily sales and purchase invoices with accuracy. Perform daily bank and deposit reconciliations. Prepare supplier and customer account reconciliations. Assist in month-end close process including preparation of journals with proper backups. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly. Prepare workings for statutory filings (VAT, GST/HST, Sales Tax, etc.). Assist in preparing year-end audit working papers. Support variance analysis and prepare commentary for management review. Contribute to intercompany and payroll processing. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as required. Core Competencies & Required Skills Accounting Skills Solid foundation in double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations. Understanding of financial statements and month-end processes. Basic knowledge of statutory compliance and taxation rules (VAT/GST/HST). Technical Proficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, reconciliations). Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar is an advantage. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and tools. Communication Skills Strong written and verbal English skills. Ability to clearly document work and communicate effectively with team leads. Professional approach when dealing with client queries and tasks. Attention to Detail High degree of accuracy in processing and reconciliations. Ability to identify and correct errors promptly. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of professional accounting experience. Experience with reconciliations, bookkeeping, and month-end closing processes. Prior exposure to working with international clients preferred. You will act as both a team leader and a client-facing reviewer, finalizing financials, guiding staff, and driving process improvements to meet CFO Incorporated’s standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead, review, and finalize month-end and year-end financial statements for multiple international clients. Ensure timely preparation and filing of all statutory returns (VAT, GST/HST, Sales Tax, etc.). Supervise and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and variance analyses with clear commentary. Prepare and finalize audit working papers; coordinate with external auditors. Manage intercompany and payroll processing across client accounts. Review dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports prepared by staff; provide actionable insights for clients. Mentor and guide mid-level and junior team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth. Undertake special projects (automation, process optimization, client onboarding) as assigned. Ensure strict adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks in line with CFO’s CAAT framework. Core Competencies & Required Skills Accounting Skills Advanced understanding of IFRS, UK/US/Canada GAAP. Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and statutory filings. Ability to detect and resolve discrepancies with precision. Technical Proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, Twinfield, or similar). Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and automation tools. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Leadership Proven ability to manage teams and delegate effectively. Track record of developing and mentoring staff. Confidence in managing client relationships and acting as the final reviewer. Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal English skills. Ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to both staff and clients. Strong client service orientation. Attention to Detail Rigorous focus on accuracy and timeliness. Demonstrated ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and gaps. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards. Qualifications Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent). 5–7 years’ experience in multi-client, international accounting environments. Prior exposure to franchise, retail, or restaurant accounting preferred. Strong track record of delivering accurate, timely financials under tight deadlines. Experience with client-facing responsibilities and team leadership.
