Overview: We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Regional Manager to lead our continued expansion in India within the packaging sector. This role will begin with a strong focus on direct sourcing and supplier engagement, and evolve into a leadership position overseeing sales, procurement, and business operations across the region. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with deep market knowledge, a robust supplier network, and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities: Phase 1: Direct Sourcing & Market Development Identify and secure new supplier relationships within India, ensuring alignment with global procurement standards. Conduct supplier audits, price negotiations, and contract management. Stay informed on local market trends, raw material costs, and regulatory conditions. Act as the first point of contact for all regional sourcing activity. Phase 2: Regional Team & Territory Management Build and manage a regional team covering sales and procurement. Design and implement regional go-to-market strategies in line with global objectives. Take full ownership of the regional P&L, driving growth in both volume and profitability. Develop strong relationships with both customers and suppliers to create a seamless commercial ecosystem. Lead cross-functional collaboration with logistics, finance, and compliance teams. Leadership & Reporting Hire, train, and manage regional staff, including performance reviews and professional development. Represent the India region in global leadership meetings and commercial strategy sessions. Provide regular reports on KPIs, market conditions, forecasts, and risk Requirements: 5+ years of experience in international trading, sourcing, or commercial operations, with a proven track record in India’s domestic and export markets. Strong understanding of the paper, pulp, packaging, or related sectors preferred. Experience in building and leading multi-functional teams across procurement and/or sales. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Financial literacy and experience managing a P&L. Ability to work autonomously, with a hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset. Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Hindi and/or other Indian languages is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
